There are some products that are still handmade, the old fashioned way. I was lucky enough to visit the factory that creates the concrete floor featured here, and they use just such methods. It was so cool to see the entire process - to see how the colors are created, how the textures are achieved, and learn to appreciate the imperfections, realizing that this tile would simply not be nearly as beautiful if not for those.
